Jurisdiction

Research that has IRB approval may also be subject to review and disapproval by other Henry Ford Health System officials. However if the IRB has denied approval for a proposal, any other administrative or clinical body cannot overturn their decision. In order to insure the safety of human subjects in research, the IRB is a truly independent review board.
