Ever wonder why we have an Institutional Review Board at Henry Ford Health System? Here you will learn why federal government regulations require us to have an IRB, and the essential elements needed to ensure that research on human subjects is safe. You will consider a series of fictional, interactive IRB applications - a way to explore the different types of IRB review and learn about concepts like informed consent, confidentiality and weighing risk and benefits for human participants.

You will be able to bookmark your place in the course, so that you can leave and return at any time. You must complete the entire course in order to receive credit. Register by entering your Groupwise user name when it is requested.
